La Villita

La Villita is San Antonio’s first known community settlement. Spanish soldiers stationed at the Alamo settled with huts in this area. In the late 19th century, immigrants from france and germany settled in La Villita creating a cultural mix that shows in the surrounding buildings built during this time period. Today La Villita host several art shops, and restaurants. Mustang Grey is a great store that sells western wear for kids such as cowboy boots! La Villita host several events thoughout the year. The most popular function is during Fiesta when La Villita host NIOSA (Night in Old San Antonio). This event takes place during the middle of April.
